STRATCO are proud to have secured significant energy efficiency rebates for this project through the Con Edison NYC Clean Heat Program.
The Queens Project has recently received a NYSERDA Building of Excellence Award for the buildings sustainability efforts. The fully electric building includes solar thermals, hot water heat pumps, ground source heat pumps and heat recovery from VRF units. Other measures include enhanced envelope measures, all electric appliances, and energy star rated lighting fixtures. The project is an affordable housing development and contributed to improving NYC's supply constrained housing market.
More and more property developers are going all electric in an effort to reduce carbon emissions and save energy costs. Electrifying properties is also a very important component of New York State's greenhouse gas reduction goals and New York City's Climate Mobilization Act, which has a goal of reducing building emissions by at least 40% by 2030.
At STRATCO we specialize in getting energy efficiency rebates for new development projects and existing buildings all throughout the State. We are able to audit a job and identify potential incentives that NYS will pay towards the project. We work on contingency, so no out of pocket is required to begin work. If you have any buildings undergoing gut renovation, or mechanical replacement, you may qualify for rebates.
